2 Things You Must Have for Business Growth
Small businesses and churches often ignore their online visibility, especially if they have a physical location. And creating strategy around online visibility? Forget it!
When it comes to business, you don’t want "absence makes the heart grow fonder". Absence from online visibility is really "out of sight, out of mind."
Small and growing businesses, churches, and brands do not have the luxury of being "out of sight, out of mind," especially within our current economic situation. So, it's crucial to be visible online for the growth of your business and/or church.
By maintaining visibility online, you remain on top of the minds of your customers, clients, or followers. Your customers and followers will see you as an authoritative and influential person in your industry. Your "know, like, and trust" factor will soar as you become more visible online.
I know, I know. Writing blogs, writing social media posts, engaging with people online is so time-consuming and quite tiring. I hear you. But that is where creating a strategy and hiring a team comes into the mix.
So, as business owners or churches, how do you improve your visibility online? Believe it or not, the Bible has some guiding principles that have proven to be business gold!
GET INFORMATION
Proverb 1:5 - A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding shall attain wise counsels.
A key component to strategy is information.
The more you know and understand your audience, the more you can show up in a meaningful way for them. The more you know about them, the more you can tailor your content to resonate with them. Clients and customers are more receptive to an experience more than they are to the product itself. It is the result they want.
But how can you give your audience what they want if you don't know what they want? You can't. So, by taking the time to research the people you want to reach with your product and/or service, you can create content that your audience will appreciate and improve your online presence.
Engaging and relevant content to your audience will naturally attract them to your website and social media channels. The more a customer or follower engages with your content, whether by reading, watching, or otherwise interacting with your content, the more the search engines will recommend your content to them, increasing your visibility online.
BE DILIGENT AND CONSISTENT
Proverb 22:29 - Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
Diligence and consistency are soft skills you must have to be successful in growing your business. You may not see the fruits of your labors immediately, but you must stay the course if you want to have growth in your business. It's about being patient and, at the same time, being consistent and excellent at what you do.
The feast and famine of business can be confusing and overwhelming, especially for new business owners or churches. During a famine stage, businesses and churches often become discouraged and quit because of what appears to be failure or stagnation.
I get it. Showing up consistently and speaking passionately only to be met with crickets can be discouraging, but don't lose hope. A business strategy will save your business or church.
By diligently and consistently implementing a well-researched strategy, you will begin to attract your ideal audience and end that famine stage once and for all. So, if you don't currently have a business growth strategy in place, you need to make a game plan. Having a game plan is the spirit behind the wisdom found in Proverbs 21:5 that says, "The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty."
How will you create a strategy that will ensure your online visibility and improve your business growth?
If you don't know how to create a strategy or a sales funnel, you may need to seek out the wisdom of experts or experienced individuals. Start with online research into your industry and your ideal customers. Get to know your audience and customer base to become relevant and make your business or church visible online. Be diligent and consistent in your implementing your strategy. Stay the course. Your ideal customers need you to share your God-given talents and gifts to help you change their lives.
